Unified communications

Your phone system, inside the command platform

Tessavox is also an IP PBX. Every user gets one extension that rings the browser, the desktop app, a mobile SIP app and the desk phone together. Keep the phone system you already own — a standard SIP trunk connects both worlds.

Built-in IP PBX

One number. Every device. No extra phone server.

The client is the phone

Log in and you are reachable. Ring, answer, decline, mute, dial pad and hang-up in the browser and the desktop app — no softphone to install.

Multiple devices, one extension

The first device to answer takes the call; one decline stops them all. Busy in a meeting? Callers get busy and you get a missed-call entry.

Transfer into a meeting

Hold, transfer, or pull an extension straight into a meeting room from the dial pad. Phone participants are marked in the roster.

Device extensions

Lobby, meeting-room and guard-post phones get their own extensions, managed on the same page as user extensions.

Account lifecycle

Disable a user and their extension is disabled with them. Reset SIP passwords from the admin page.

Radios on the switch

Handheld radios connect through a SIP radio gateway and join meetings like any other participant. More →

Coexist with your PBX

Keep what you have. Connect it with one SIP trunk.

Point a SIP trunk from your existing Avaya, Cisco or other SIP PBX at Tessavox. Extensions on both sides can call each other, and outside callers can reach meeting rooms directly.

  • Calls in both directions, with dial rules per trunk (for example 5xxx → your PBX)
  • External callers into rooms: whitelisted numbers go straight in, others enter the room PIN by keypad
  • Auto-attendant with a voice menu: “Please enter the meeting room number”
  • Trunks only accept registered peer addresses; connection checked every 30 seconds

Validated against a simulated enterprise PBX on an isolated network. Validation with production Avaya Aura or Cisco CUCM is carried out in partner labs or during a customer PoC.

Call recording

Recorded only when you say so. Never leaves the building.

Recording is built into the switch — no separate recorder, nothing spliced into the line. Administrators choose which extensions, trunks and meeting rooms are recorded; everything else is not.

Notice, then record

A spoken notice (“This call will be recorded”) plays in the listener's interface language. Recording starts on answer, not on ringing.

Two channels, labelled transcripts

Calls are stored in stereo — your side and the other side — and transcribed on the server with speakers labelled, so you can search by number, name or a phrase.

Tamper evidence

Each file is fingerprinted with SHA-256 when stored; administrators can verify a recording has not been altered at any time.

Retention you control

90 days by default, adjustable. Disputed recordings can be placed on hold. Store locally or on your NAS, with space shown on the admin page.

Supervised access — every step on the record

  1. RequestThe user states a reason and picks calls they took part in.
  2. ApproveA designated supervisor approves or declines with a reason — never their own request.
  3. ReleaseAn administrator releases the recording for a limited time, listen-only or downloadable.
  4. ListenAccess expires automatically. Every play and download is logged and exportable as CSV.
Line monitor

Every line at a glance. Listen in only with authorization.

One tile per extension: idle, ringing, talking, on hold or in a meeting. Drag the tiles into your own seating plan — by floor, department or chain of command — and every supervisor sees the same board.

  • Authorized supervisors click a tile, or dial *0 plus the extension from a desk phone, to listen live
  • Listen-only: neither party hears the supervisor, and the call is not interrupted
  • Off by default. The customer decides whether to enable it and for whom; by default only calls being recorded can be monitored
  • Every listen-in session is logged

Live monitoring is a form of communications surveillance. Enable it only in line with applicable law and your organization's policies, for example with prior notice and recording announcements.
